Wabi Sabi (Mix 17)

A mix from last November - introspective and winding through atmospheric chimes, percussion, and settled, danceable rhythms.

A late-summer mix of loose, gently funky house. Awesome while driving to the beach with your honey or drinking tequila with the guys at 3 am on Venice Beach. This is a short, preview mix.. but I'm working on the full-length and will post it soon. Check out the complete tracklist after the jump. You can also download the mix here.

U Smile / Tempestuous (mix)

It says Tempestuous, and that's what it is: sexy, turning, thrashing, from shimmering waters into the thick, velvety blackness of a holy freakout. Are all these mixes about heaven? Maybe. Out of all the beautiful stuff here, highlights include Prins Thomas' Zero Set pair, Cassius' astounding new Shark Simple, surprises from Claire Maguire and Marcin Czubala, and Justin Bieber x Shamantis' 800% slooooowed down mix of U Smile, which, coupled with Sebastian Bouchet's primal Tempestuous, gives the mix it's name. One Day There Be Disco (mix)

My friend Andrio loves to throw disco around in his mixes. This mix is, in part, inspired by his work over at Psychometry. Watch for a collaboration soon.. in the meantime we can all dance to this. Party! Highlights include Booka Shade's In White Rooms, Superpitcher, Chloe's awesome fuzzy remix of Silvervince's Mademoiselle B, and It's a Fine Line, who close the first act with their trippy and slackertacular Never Go With a Hippie to a Second Location. The Motor City Drum Ensemble's mix of Caribou's Leave House, Craig Bratley's Birdshell (Burnt Island Casuals Remix), LCD Soundsystem, and 40 Thieves, Qzen, and a sneaky Fourtet edit bring on the disco on the second half.
